G3.11 Child Support and Title IV-E

Introduction

​​​​​​​​Parents are responsible for the financial and medical support of their children even when the child is found eligible for Title IV-E.

Practice Guidance

Procedure

​The CBW: 


  1. Submits the DSS-1260 Title IV-E and Child Support Referral form, as completed by the SSW, to the county contracting official for child support in the county where the child was removed;
  2. ​Submits the completed DPP-1279 Information for out-of-home care (OOHC) placements form, as completed by the SSW, to the county contracting official for child support in the county where the child was removed.
