Procedure

The SSW:

Notifies the committing court in writing within fourteen (14) days of the move if the SSW wishes to place a committed child back in the home; ¹
Consults with the FSOS and SRA, or designee, to determine what action steps are necessary to conform to KRS 605.090(b) (1);
Follows the guidelines for OOHC, as the Cabinet is the legal custodian of the child, even though the parent has physical custody.

Footnotes

Placement in the home is a rare occurrence and is generally initiated by the committing court.
