31.10 Child Support and Title IV-E

Legal Authority

Parents are responsible for the financial and medical support of their children even when the child is found eligible for title IV-E.

The CBW:

Submits the DSS-1260 Title IV-E and Child Support Referral form, as completed by the SSW, to the County Contracting Official for Child Support in the county where the child was removed;
Submits the completed DPP-1279 Information for OOHC Placements form, as completed by the SSW, to the County Contracting Official for Child Support in the county where the child was removed.
